We may think what brain these tiny little insects may have? Insect’s brain may be as tiny as a pin, but the fact is that they are very clever s shows research. The first time ever scientist has studied the brain of insect and how intelligent they are. The researchers are from the university of Adelaide physiology department. The research studied about the way how insects can judge the speed of a moving object. The research showed how the brain cells of small insects perform and reach its food.
The insects have a special mechanism in them which has the ability to calculate the way of landing. The landing takes in many insects and the way they land on a particular flower is really fantastic. The controlled landing works on the natural setting by the insects say scientists who researched. The insects are capable of analyzing the visual motion, which are similar to human beings. The study was lead by Professor David O’Carroll, a associate professor from the university of Adelaide.
The well identified brain cells are in insects and humans are the reason for analyzing the visual motion. The way the insects analyze the direction of a moving objects is known from many studies. But the way the insects analyze the speed of a particular object is found in the particular study. The brain cells of insects are capable of adapting to the different light patterns of nature and find whether it is a foggy or a sunny day. The single neurons in insects are capable of many extreme complex behavior say researchers.
A severe earthquake in Western China’s Qinghai province few days back has killed at least 600 people and injured over 2000 people. The authorities are unable to provide all the rescue support required to the affected people, only because the place does not have proper access.
The altitude is very high and the climate is near freezing levels. So there are hundreds of people who have lost parts of their body like hands, legs, fingers etc., but are stranded helpless on the roadside. With after shocks hitting the region, people are forcibly staying away in freezing cold outside on open space areas.
The Chinese authorities are putting in special efforts to send medical and rescue team to the area on priority basis.
Voters in Sudan are casting their ballots in the first multi-party elections in 24 years.
The polls for president, parliament and state assemblies are being held as part of the peace deal that ended the civil war between north and south Sudan.
But several key parties and politicians opposed to President Omar al-Bashir are boycotting the vote amid fraud fears.
For many in Southern Sudan, these elections are a prelude to a referendum next January on possible independence.
The elections are also complicated by the ongoing low-level civil war in Darfur, where some three million people are living in refugee camps

The fog was found at the south pole of Saturn’s largest moon. The sporadic layers of fog with puddles of methane were found in moon. Titan is the only place in solar system which has copious liquids.
The researchers also revealed that the existence of fog provides evidence for exchange of material. The earth also previously had this hydrological cycle as seen in Saturn’s moon titan. The scientists made this discovery with the help of visual and infrared mapping spectrometer (VIMS).
The observation is made in Cassini space craft for the past 5 years. The VIMS helps to view a hyper spectral imagingcove5ring a large area for viewing. The scientists had collected all the information from public online archives from october2006.The most found hydrocarbon in moon is always is methane which exists in solid, liquid and gaseous form.
Scientists have come out with a simple robotic anchor which is small, energy efficient and light in nature. The robotic anchor can go inside the mud and catch small water submersibles.
The robotic anchor digs into the bottom of the water at the speed of a centimeter per second. A relatively simple anatomy of a razor is used to design this robot anchor.
The digging by the robot anchor just uses only 2 motions to dig the bottom of the mud flats and burrow itself.
