Never label your child as Lazy
A child who is called lazy by parents and teachers find numerous learning difficulties. The reason behind could be the lack of motivation says a new study. The research has been conducted by Linda Gilmor who is a educational psychologist from Queensland university. The search has been conducted for children of the age group between seven to ten years and who were regarded lazy by their parents and teachers.
Research found out these children had attention based problems or phonologically based learning. The children who were said try harder showed stigma of laziness said the report. The children who were lazy were found to give up things easily and were incomplete in their work. The children were being pleaded, nagged to make children every step their way say parents.
The so called children were found to be lazy in mathematics and homework was still tough. Standardized tests were being conducted on the children to test their cognitive and analytical skills. The particular problems were being studied based on the parent’s complaints. Most of the children in the research were found to be clinical signs of hyperactivity. Unrecognized difficulties in children may show the children to appear lazy but they are not.
