US may face tough situation in Afghanistan
The US government is in a dilemma regarding the question of additional troops to Afghanistan. The Presidential election issue seems to be over with the official withdrawal of Abdullah from the race. That means that Karzai, who is credited with massive fraud and corruption, will remain President of Afghanistan for the next four or five years.
That is only going to make the decision making on additional troops difficult for Obama, because the same Karzai government has failed to ensure improvement in the law and order situation in the country.
So there is a strong possibility for more loss of lives for US forces in the coming years, under Karzai government.
