India core sector growth down to 4% in September
The August 2009 saw a spectacular 7.8% growth in the core sector in India, which was far higher than analyst estimates. Now the September 2009 figure is showing some slackening in the core sector growth, which has tumbled to just 4% versus a year ago.
The drop also seems to be due to the reduction in the coal production and also cement output. The government is confident of a good recovery in the core sector output in the remaining three months of the year.
