IPL2 set to fail !!!
The Indian Premier League Cricket Match series was started last year by the BCCI, Board of Cricket Control in India, and it was a run away success. It had one of the largest viewer ship across the globe. And this year, the initial plan was to conduct the IPL2 in India only next month.
But with the general elections set to happen across the Country, the central government and also the state governments have indicated that security for the IPL2 can be provided only if they are held after the general elections i.e, after May 2009.
This has forced the BCCI to look for alternatives, and today they have finalized South Africa as the new venue for IPL2 series of matches. The series consists of twenty over matches that will be played between eight competing teams , spread over four to five weeks time. And there will be a maximum of four foreign players in each team, which will be having at least seven Indian players.
