India for more ties with Iran
Indian government is showing signs of improving its ties with Iran, in the last few months. It is pushing for participation of its giant company ONGC in Iran Farsi Block, it is in intensive discussions on Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline. And now it has sent it’s National Security Adviser Narayanan to Iran, which seems to be aimed at appeasing the Left communist parties which have started doubting the government’s inclination towards US. It may also be prudent for India to tie up with Iran since it might help in getting the required oil and gas supplies without disruptions.
