Citi sells German business for 8 billion
Citigroup is in the final stages of selling off the german retail business to France’s Credit mutuel for a little over eight billion dollars, due to the need to raise more capital due to the credit turmoil. Citi group is expected to announce over 10 billion dollars write off in the latest ended quarter in addition to the massive write offs last year.
