US pushes India on N-Deal
The George Bush administration is putting pressure on the Indian Government to complete the process for implementation of the civilian nuclear deal. While the Congress government ruling India is inclined to clear the deal, it is unable to do so because the communist parties supporting it in staying in power , are absolutely against the deal. Hence the deadlock. Experts feel that with US pressure mounting, the Congress government might take the risk of losing power by pushing for ratifying the deal.
