India to become second in wireless connections
Currently China is the world leader in wireless connnections with over 540 million subscribers and US stands at second position with over 250 million connections. India which currently holds the third position with over 240 million connections, is set to become the second largest mobile user in the world by April 2008 since it adds over 10 million subscribers per month. By the middle of 2009 India is expected to be close to 300 million subscribers and widen the gap from US by a big margin. This is indeed a marvelous feat by India considering that in 2000 India had just 3 million subscribers vs over 100 million in US.
