Developing nations face water shortage

Good part of developing nations face acute drinking water shortage. A leading research reports states that good part of Africa and asia and few middle east countries have millions of people who do not have access to good drinking water. The situation is expected to worsen further in coming years due to the weather condition changes. On the contrary developed nations spend billions of dollars and pounds to buy packaged drinking water in plastic bottles which add to environment messup for our future generation. UN has to act quickly and with double vigour to end this misery on a war footing.

China readies for 2008 olympic games

China is gearing up totally with full vigour for hosting the 2008 olympic games in Beijing. Over two million travellers are expected to visit this big china city of Beijing to watch the olympic games during the coming summer. China isĀ  upgrading and expanding all its airports and air traffic systems in order to be able to provide excellent joy and pleasant stay during Olympics. China is expected to gain more economically over the coming years, if it is able to handle the massive foreign travellers for olympics, as this will create more confidence in them to tour more of China in future.

Google profits for 2007 below expectation

Google profits for the fourth quarter grew by 17 percent on a 52 percent increase in topline. These were below the market expectations and hence the share prices were down by over 5% on result announcement. Google has attributed the lower profits to paid ad clicks and also due to its inability to monetize social networking advertisement inventories.
